120 Dacquacote Primer Finish

A water-borne acrylic coating for use as a primer for steel and similar substrates. Excellent adhesion and durability with rust-inhibitive properties. 'Environmentally Friendly'.  Typically applied to rolling stock and rail components

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : 4 hours with water-borne finishes. Note : To achieve the above drying times the paint film must be exposed to adequate air movement with good ventilation
• Touch Dry @ 20°C: 20 minutes

13 Rapidac High Build

Single pack high build quick drying zinc phosphate primer

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : May be overcoated after 45 minutes or as soon as firm dry with Dacrylate Vehicle and Machinery Enamel or with Dacrylate QD3 Enamel when primer is firm dry but within 2 hours, or allow primer to dry overnight.
• Colour: Red Oxide, grey

150-141 Super Ruscon

Water borne rust convertor/passivator.  Avoid over application.  Can be overcoated with most single pack and two pack products.

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : After 3 hours and within 48 hours

40 Low Odour Metal Primer

Single pack low odour primer with good adhesion and durability

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : Overnight
• Touch Dry @ 20°C: 2 hours
• Colour: Red Oxide or Grey

524 Implamel One Coat Sheen Primer/Finish

Single pack general purpose 'one coat' primer/finish for structural steelwork, waste skips and similar steel fabrications.

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : Should a second coat be required, allow a minimum of 4 hours drying or preferably leave overnight between coats. The maximum over coating time is indefinite and is subject to normal good housekeeping practices for preparation an cleanliness between coats.
• Touch Dry @ 20°C: 20 minutes
• Colour: Tinted to any BS4800/Ral/BS381C or bespoke colour

591 UHB Tinted High Build Anti Corrosion Primer

Single pack or two pack high build primer (two pack when used with 591 GP Hardener/Activator)

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : 1 1/2 hours
• Touch Dry @ 20°C: 10 minutes
• Colour: Tinted to any BS4800/Ral/BS381C or bespoke colour

78 Etch Primer

Single pack etch primer with modified zinc phosphate  inhibitive pigments.  Good adhesion to steel and non ferrous metals (aluminium, zinc, galvanising etc). Also used as a blast/holding primer for steel and as a sealer for aluminium and zinc metal spray.

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : After 90 minutes
• Touch Dry @ 20°C: 5-10 minutes
• Colour: White, Black, Grey

79-458 Epidac 2 High Build Zinc Phosphate Primer

Two pack high build epoxy with anti corrosion pigmentation for use on prepared steel and galvanised steel.

Fully compliant to Environmental Protection Act (1990) as required by Guidance Note PG 6/23 (97), Clause 20 (d), when used as tie coat, sealer or blast primer.

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : Overnight
• Touch Dry @ 20°C: 2-4 hours
• Colour: Grey

79-498 Epidac 2 High Build Fast Set Epoxy Primer

Two pack FAST SET high build  zinc phosphate epoxy primer reinforced with micaceous  iron oxide pigmentation.

For use on prepared steel and galvanised surfaces especially where rapid overcoating is required. Typical applications include lighting columns and general industrial plant. For site maintenance where rapid curing is an advantage.

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : 2 hours (single pack) / 1 hour (two-pack)
• Touch Dry @ 20°C: 30 minutes
• Colour: Grey

79-6 Epidac 1 Zinc Rich Primer

Single pack epoxy-ester/metallic zinc coating that is typically used as a single-pack 'sacrificial' primer for steel. Also used a 'repair' primer for damaged galvanised steel. Conforms to BS:4652 Part1.

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : When first dry or after 48 hours When overcoating with coatings based on mild solvents (i.e. white spirit), the primer need only be firm dry (i.e. approximately 2 hours) or any time thereafter. For fast drying finishing coats based on stronger ‘aromatic’ solvents, the primer should be overcoated when firm dry (and for up to 4 hours) or after 48 hours.
• Touch Dry @ 20°C: 30 minutes
• Colour: Grey

79-62 Epidac 2Z Zinc Rich Primer

Two pack epoxy, metallic zinc, confirming to BS4652 Type 3 and BS5493 (Ref: DF and KP 1B)

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : Overnight - refer to technical data sheet
• Touch Dry @ 20°C: 1 hour

98 Quick Drying Anti Corrosion Primer

Single pack fast drying primer using modified alkyd, zinc phosphate with good rust-inhibitive properties suitable for the protection of steel. 

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : Maybe overcoated after 45 minutes or as soon as film-dry with all white spirit based finishing coats. Fast-drying finishing coats based on stronger solvents should be overcoated when primer is firm-dry but within 1 hours, or allow primer to dry overnight (refer to data sheet)
• Touch Dry @ 20°C: 30 minutes
• Colour: Black, White, Grey-Green, Buff, Cupress, Red Oxide, Yellow, Blue, Grey, other colours to special order

Corrocure Corro-Chlor Primer

 Chlorinated Rubber metal primer for use with CorroChlor HB Coating for the long-term protection of bridge structures, marine and general steelwork. Excellent resistance to acids, alkalis and aqueous chemicals. 

• Overcoating Time @ 20°C : 4 hours
• Touch Dry @ 20°C: 40 minutes
• Colour: Grey - Low Sheen
